Process
The creation of a Coraline-themed 52-card deck was a journey. To infuse the deck with the haunting look of the movie I researched the card’s meanings to correctly match
them to the characters.

The face cards underwent a captivating transformation, with the Other Mother reigning as the Queen, the Other Father as the Jack, and the Other Wybie as the King. Integrating iconic characters into the deck posed a creative challenge, particularly in maintaining readability. I carefully adjusted the two colours and details to ensure that the cards remained playable while resonating with the Coraline theme. The Joker card took on the mischievous charm of the Cat, adding an extra touch of whimsy to the deck.
After refining the design, I reviewed the entire deck for cohesiveness and playability. The end result was a captivating Coraline-themed card deck that not only paid homage to the movie’s aesthetic but also introduced a new and enchanting dimension to the classic 52-card format.
