Objective
The objective of this project was to create a new brand logo to keep the company current and trendy while still being recognizable.
Process
To begin this project I started with a lot of research on what made this edgy brand unique and what drew their target audience to them. After defining the brand persona I made a lot of sketches with different characteristics that would resonate with the clothing brand’s vast audience. A struggle I faced throughout this project was finding the perfect mix between pretty and girly with edge and rough. To balance these two unique styles I decided to go with a rough but clean street-style font mixed with a cursive flow for the D. For a bold look I decided to go with an electric pink as the brand colour. The brand illustrations I made were a simple doll and knives as a play on the brand’s name. To solidify this rebranding I placed their new logo and illustrations on a couple of corporate mediums as well as products the brand may sell.
